THE PARADOXICAL ENCLAVE

She is a nation!
A mother, but like a childless woman,
Like a mother hen,
She scathers her chicks
With falcon in sight.
OH!! Nigeria!

Like the duck
But she doesn't precede her ducklings
Like an eagle but can't fly,
Even when the wind are right.
OH! NIGERIA!

She waits and wait,
She is stuck even when there is no quamire.
She paddles her boat
But in two opposite directions
Like a river cause,
But she flows from lower COURSE to upper COURSE.

A Nation, no Notion
A Nation, no Motion
OH! My Darrling Nigeria.

                                                                                               Ogbole.
