Am chained and left in pain
Squashed by the under boot
Of my master
Relegated to the waste bin
I am only a tool for murder
In the hands of my master
And a means to archieve his place
In the society
Am a youth, a Nigerian child
I have take the place of a slave
Battered, tranpled on,bound
And left to roast on the blazing heat of the sun
As i keep to my tool on the field
Brused and left to bake
My back steams and my hand bleed's
As i am drown in my sweat and tears
Oh! what a place for a youth
I lay motionless on my back
As the day fades away in silent
No sound of birds or insect i heard
But the pain and agony i can't forget
Hunger is the disease i know
I mourn and wish for death but it never came
Am here were my master left me
Am a youth, a nigerian youth
Am blind from vision
Even to hope for better days
am denied,
they have take my dreams and
Replaced them with nightmares
drill out of me strenght
And taken my voice so i can't be heard
This is the place of a Nigerian youth
Squashed by the under boot
Of my master
Relegated to the waste bin
I am only a tool for murder
In the hands of my master
And a means to archieve his place
In the society
Am a youth, a Nigerian child
